EPS Sponsors St. Jude Children' s Hospital Math-A-Thon

We need your support once again for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Math-A-Thon.  Our goal this year is to raise $5000.00 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  Since 1997, we have been proud sponsors of the St. Jude Math-A-Thon, and have raised over $58,000.00 for children cancer research. Hats off, and way to go to all those EPS parents, students, teachers, and Coordinators (Mrs. Martha Garrick, Mrs. Moonie, Mrs. Royster, Mrs. Emma Walker, Ms. Tonya Dibble) in your efforts to help raise money for cancer research!!!!

 By donating money for the St. Jude Math-a-thon, you could sponsor a child to receive $474.00 of oxygen per day at the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  We want to continue supporting the children at the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, because believe it or not, we can make a difference in a child's life at the St. Jude Children's Hospital.

This year, Scholastic has worked with St. Jude to develop a series of brand new, engaging math activities that support National Standards while challenging and inspiring kids.  By participating, students can build and practice essential math skills while they raise money and awareness for children with cancer and other catastrophic illnesses.

Here's how to sponsor a child at the St. Jude Children's Hospital:

•1.      Complete the Parent Consent Form (10/9/09)

•2.      Return Form by Wednesday (10/14/09) indicate if you want a booklet or CD version

•3.      St. Jude Math-A-Thon Kick Off - (10/26/09)

•4.      Complete Math Problems (ask for sponsors)

•5.      Return Booklet/Prize Form/Money from sponsors (11/06/09)
